Three years ago, VCFamilia was born out of a vision to empower Latine voices in venture capital. From 6 members to a nationwide network of over 500 Latine investors, we have created an active, supportive community dedicated to elevating Latine representation in the VC world.

Today, VCFamilia is more than a network—it’s a movement fostering mentorship, professional growth, and lasting impact. As we reflect on our journey, we’re excited to share key insights and achievements that highlight our community’s contributions and growth, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Members Driving 6 to 15+ Deals Each Year.

A majority of VCFamilia members closed between 6 and over 15 deals in the past year, with average check sizes up to $1 million. This strong deal activity highlights VCFamilia’s influence, with members actively driving momentum and impact across the venture landscape.

64% Focus on Early-Stage Investments

With 64% of VCFamilia members investing in pre-seed and seed rounds, the community emphasizes early-stage support, nurturing new startups, and providing critical resources to Latine founders at the foundational stages of growth. Additionally, 36% of members invest in Series A and B+ rounds. This sustained support empowers ventures to grow and amplify their impact within the industry.

Our members lead investments across high-impact industries, focusing on Fintech (55.5%), Clean Tech (36.7%), AI/Data Analytics (36.1%), Digital Health (34.5%), and the Future of Work (29.2%). These investments amplify Latine representation in fields shaping the future economy, positioning VCFamilia as a driving force behind solutions that merge global impact with regional growth.

Over $1 Billion in Capital Deployed

Over the past year, VCFamilia members collectively deployed an estimated $1 billion in capital, highlighting their substantial impact and leadership in the venture capital landscape. This figure reflects diverse investment strategies, ranging from frequent smaller deals to strategic large-scale investments, demonstrating VCFamilia’s pivotal role in driving meaningful growth and innovation.

Diversity and Inclusivity

38% Female Representation.

With 38% of members identifying as female, VCFamilia exceeds the industry average of 26% female representation in venture capital (Deloitte, 2022). This reflects VCFamilia’s commitment to fostering an environment where Latine women feel supported to enter and advance in the industry, contributing to a more inclusive venture landscape and highlighting the growing impact of Latine women in spaces where they are traditionally underrepresented.

37% Junior and Senior Representation

With nearly equal representation of junior (36.8%) and senior (37.2%) members, VCFamilia connects emerging and established Latine talent, creating pathways for growth and advancement. This structure supports the development of the next generation of Latine venture capital leaders.
